INVINCIBLE

I regret not watching Invincible immediately!
When s1 came out, there was such an outpouring of artists everywhere posting about it, it got rave reviews from my go to guys for movie/series reviews, but my bias towards anime remains stubborn, i need to shed it.
The show is amazing, i mostly gravitated towards Omni-man, Cecil and the Mauler twins, even Donald ended up having more depth to him. Nolan’s struggle between his viltrumite lineage and growing human aspect, the nuances in his scenes, he’s complex. Cecil, most would say the batman of this universe, but he’s much more than that, he will not hesitate to cross lines, use morally questionable acts all for safeguarding humanity. The Mauler twins, I thought they were just intro fodder bad guys, but their dynamic and characters have depth, they even seemed like reluctant anti-heroes I think. It’s the same feeling I got when I watched game of thrones s1 before it was cool and well known, you know the feeling, like finding a gem, knowing you’ve stumbled upon something special to watch and follow in the coming years. It’s exhilarating.
